Victoria is a funny place....not just weather-wise, but we wont get too off topic.  As far as Canada goes, this is by far the most temperate place.  For those who don't know, it's located on the tip of Vancouver Island, just below the 49th parallel On the west coast of North America.  Rarely above 25 Celcius in the summer, rarely below 0 in the winter.  Rains an awful lot, but not nearly as bad as Vancouver, and snows maybe once a year.  Which is funny...because the rest of BC is world renouned for it's snow fall and phenominal ski conditions.  In fact, just 3 hours north of Victoria, on the same island, is a mountain that has more than once broken world wide records for snowfall.  Where am I going with all of this?  Well Victoria has recently gotten a dump of snow like Victorians haven't seen in a long time. A little over a foot, which is laughable by most Canadian standards, but quite a feat for the clouds over little ol' Vic., and a damn good reason to shut the whole city down and enjoy/panic/miss school/work/meet cute boys at coffee shops and somewhat of an inspiration to start shooting again.  You will soon see a few select shots from an afternoon I spent with intentions to shoot and ended up chatting with cute boys in coffee shops.  

Also, I have been getting more and more interested in the stock photography business, but have very little time to explore and have no idea where to start.  Does anyone know anything about it?  More specifically, does anyone know much about istockphoto?  Any good or bad experiences with it?  What I'm most interested in is the legal aspects, such as how many rights I retain and what I give up.  Also, how much money I get for images and the best way to be noticed in such a huge community.  I plan to put my snowy photos up as a tester because I'm not particularly attached to them and see where it goes...

I'm finally moving out this week.  I've got a condo in an uberhip part of town with my good friend Louise.  I have never moved before.  Not even from one room to another.  I am a pack rat and have a ridiculous amount of stuff from magazines to My Little Ponies.   This could be interesting.....Suggestions, anyone?  

Also, I may not have the internet for a few weeks, but hopefully when I do I'll have someting to show for it.  We've got big, beautiful windows and a well lit living space, so I plan to get some new shots indoors now that the weather has turned and outdoor shooting isn't too viable.  Maybe some new self portraits...I haven't done those in ages...

My computer is in the shop, and of course it's right when I'm about to post a bunch of new stuff.  Perhaps it's just not meant to be...
Windows doesn't want to boot up and all I'm getting is the evil blue screen of death, where all PCs go to die.  Not a good sign!  But the computer guys said its relatively easy to fix, so I'll be back up soon.  I'm using my bosses computer right now.  

Prepare youself for more pictures of the lovely (and painfully hansome) band Maurice, as well as a couple more series' of Lucy at Mt. Washington and on the ferry to Vancouver.  They should be up (or slowly making their way online) later this week.
